The Wine PKR Story — Why We Built This
Pakistan's online betting scene was a mess for a long time. Players were using platforms designed for European or Indian markets — currencies that had to be converted, payment methods that required bank accounts most people did not have, and support teams that had never heard of Easypaisa. Withdrawals took days. Deposits failed. And when something went wrong, there was nobody useful to call.
Wine PKR was built as a direct response to all of that. The founding team had spent years in the sports and gaming industry and had watched the Pakistani market get underserved by every major platform. The decision to build something local, focused entirely on the Pakistani user, was not a difficult one — it was overdue.
From day one, the priorities at Wine PKR were clear: PKR as the primary currency, instant mobile wallet payments, a product that works well on an Android phone on a 4G connection in a city like Faisalabad or Multan, not just in Karachi or Lahore on broadband. The sports betting section was built around cricket first because that is what Pakistani players care about most. Live cricket scores, ball-by-ball betting, PSL and international match coverage — all of it was there before anything else.
The casino section followed with the same logic. Today Wine PKR serves hundreds of thousands of registered players across Pakistan.
